This home is essentially a duplex rental. There is a small basement apartment below the house which is occupied year round by a professional business person who is responsible, quiet, and friendly. The lower rental and house above have completely different entries and locks with the house entry facing the east and the basement entry the north. The unique entrances make each quite separate and private. The house is located in a nice family neighborhood occupied by local year rounders and weekenders alike. There are wooded buffers on two sides of the house, a fence and buffer with our neighbors next door, and a large yard area across the street. The house has better privacy than most homes in the area because of these buffers. There is parking room in the drive for 2-3 vehicles.

NO SMOKING INDOORS! We must insist that smoking of cigarettes, cigars, etc. take place outdoors. It is inconsiderate to follow-on rentals who have difficulty with second hand smoke which lingers in carpets, furniture, and bedding. If you do smoke, there are front and back porches and a shaded sitting area which you are welcome to enjoy your smoke in. We will provide containers to place butts, etc., for later disposal.

NO PETS For the sake of follow-on renters who may be allergic and other basic reasons, we do not allow pets during rentals.

Other Details
Linens are not provided as part of this rental. We can give you exact bedding details so you can pack or can recommend affordable linen rental service for everything from towels to beach umbrellas. Beach chairs and coolers will be available for you. You must bring your own or rent bicycles. We are happy to recommend a bike rental company which will deliver them here as well. The back deck has a Weber charcoal grill for outdoor grilling or, if you prefer, a gas grill as well.

Cleaning We expect you to leave the house in the condition you arrived - clean and tidy, furniture, kitchen, etc. in same order as you came in. We hire a cleaning service to prepare for follow-on rentals that charges us by the hour. If the service charges extra time due to excessive cleaning needed, we pass this charge on to you at their rate of $50 per extra hour.

Trash Disposal We provide stickers to place the trash out on Wednesday, one sticker required per barrel. We also provide bins for recyclable (glass, plastic, newspaper) and returnables (Mass. has a 5-cent deposit law on bottles, cans, and plastic beverage containers), which we will dispose of.
